The claim: Affordable rechargeable hearing aids sold online with a 45-day money-back guarantee and optional extended warranty.
The finding: As of September 11, 2026, the Better Business Bureau records 894 complaints against the company in the last three years, carries a “Pattern of Complaints” alert, and states that the business is believed to be out of business. Complaint after complaint describes devices returned within the guarantee window and never refunded, phones disconnected, and emails that bounce.
Red flags present: The risk-free trial return trap, the seller who does not exist, amplifier sold as hearing aid.

What was claimed

The pitch was the familiar one. Rechargeable hearing aids for a fraction of a clinic price, a 45-day money-back guarantee, and an extended warranty for a little more. The guarantee is what made the purchase feel safe, and it is what the complaints are about.

What the record shows

The Better Business Bureau profile for Bossa Hearing, read on September 11, 2026, states the following:

894 total complaints in the last three years. One complaint closed in the last twelve months.
Two alerts on the profile: a “Pattern of Complaints” alert, and a notice that reads, in BBB’s words, “Believed to be out of business: According to information in BBB files, it appears that this business is no longer in business.”
Not BBB accredited, and not rated, because BBB has information indicating the business is closed.
Business started and incorporated February 10, 2021, as a limited liability company. BBB file opened April 7, 2022. Address listed in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Alternate names listed: JRS Enterprise LLC, Street Holdings LLC, Encomendero Holdings LLC, Bossa Hearing Aids. Principals listed as Jonathan Street, COO, and Ronald Encomendero, Member.

The alternate names matter. A closed brand can reopen under a different one, and the BBB record is how you recognise it when it does.

What the complaints say

We read the public complaint record as a dataset rather than as anecdotes. Three themes account for almost all of it. Quoted passages below are from complaints filed between December 2024 and November 2025, with personal details removed by BBB.

Returned within the window, never refunded. “Sent for Bossa Hearing aids on 02/15/24. They didn’t fit properly so I returned them on 05/06/24 with the expectation that I would be refunded my money as promised by ad online. After many requests went unanswered and I never got a refund.” Another: returned December 15, 2023, followed up four times by April 2024, still no refund in January 2025.
The company stopped answering. “I tried calling (phone not connected) so I texted them several times and e-mailed 3 times. Have NEVER had a reply yet.” Another: “every time I try my email bounce back to me.” Another: “The phone number and email all are disconnected.”
The devices, and the warranty. “All they would do is buzz in his ear. We had to recharge them about every hour.” Another bought a two-year extended warranty; when the device broke, “the company is closed and no way to redeem my warranty.”
Who was buying. Several complainants say they live on Social Security or a fixed income. One ordered for a mother with tinnitus. One for a husband just out of hospital.

Independent review sites tell the same story. The company’s Trustpilot page carries a large volume of one-star reviews describing the same refund and contact failures.

What it teaches

A guarantee is only worth what the return process lets you collect, and a company is only reachable while it wants to be. Every step of the return trap appears in this record: the return sent, the authorisation that never came, the phone that stopped connecting. When 894 strangers describe the same sequence, the sequence is the product.

If you are owed a refund by this company, file a chargeback with your card issuer if you are still within its time limit, and file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General’s consumer protection office. Complaints on the record are how these cases eventually become enforcement actions.
